What do you do when you're a four time Congressional candidate with a thirst for office? Mike Sodrel got lucky once before being pitched out on his ear, but the losing politician is trying hard to regain his holier-than-thou street cred. He's pounding a wedge issue!
Why else would a Congressional candidate park semi trucks in front of the Statehouse with big banners demanding legislators ditch important stuff like property taxes in favor of an amendment to deny gays and lesbians marriage equality? A dead state-level amendment is more important than any of the current national issues like the war in Iraq?
These far right nutjobs always have to resort to the "gay marriage" boogeyman. Maybe if we tell Sodrel & Co that Iraqis are getting "gay married," he'll finally agree with getting the hell out of there.

I've always thought that the political LGBT community ought to be doing more to keep Baron Hill in office --- especially considering that Mike Sodrel seems to be our most likely alternative far into the foreseeable future.
I've always fantasized that we ought to hold a fundraising dinner at Caesars Indiana circa August or so, but I know this is a bigger undertaking than I could take on singlehandedly. Anyone interested in forming an event committee?
