Congressional candidate Woody Myers will be holding a GLBT community reception at his campaign headquarters on Wednesday evening at 7pm. The office is located at 30 South Meridian Street.
Topics for discussion include ENDA, the federal marriage amendment and Don't Ask Don't Tell. Curiously, there was no mention of HIV/AIDS issues.
Personally, I'd like for Woody to explain the reasons why ACT UP protested his nomination as the Health Commissioner for New York City. I still remember the big signs they used. They had a picture of Myers with the phrase [New York City Mayor David] "Dinkins pull your Woody!"
Oh, those were the days. From a masturbation joke to a congressional candidate - my how the times have changed.
[UPDATE:] The campaign has responded. They answer the questions about his statement on quarantining HIV+ people.
