Republican Jon Elrod is dropping his bid for the 7th Congressional District seat currently held by Democrat Andre Carson. More importantly, he may just be sinking his chances at ever again being elected to office. Everyone knows you need ambition to be a politician, but voters tend to frown on those who jump ship for higher office only to come crawling back when it doesn't work out.

Looks like Mary Ann Sullivan is going to have to fight for the seat instead of Elrod handing it to her. He may be gay friendly, but I'd vote for her in a heartbeat.

Poor Gary Welsh has likely been going frantic trying to find "dirt" on Mary Ann Sullivan and her husband's business. A trash company almost accidentally picked him up while he was inside a dumpster looking for discarded phone call slips...

Maybe rumors of a secret Muslim marriage for Mary Ann and Barack Obama? Them polygamists do get around!!!!

Not cool. He made the committment, he should have stuck around. I am not shedding any tears for the republicans, but I can't believe they aren't pissed, as they have a right to be.
