It's been a merry-go-round of rightwing nutjobs in the ole Indiana blogosphere lately, hasn't it? This week even brought us a retro trip to the 80's courtesy of Veritas Rex blogger Aaron Baker. Baker somehow manages to connect the US Surgeon General's childhood obesity push with the >Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft fantasy games.

He claims "Many elements of the game [Dungeons and Dragons] are occultic in nature, with numerous first-hand reports of demonic contact." Seriously, Aaron? Did you have to reach into the Wayback Machine to pull out that gem from Jerry Falwell circa 1984? Soon you'll find out that Tinky Winky is gay too...

But am I the only one getting a chuckle out of a religious blogger - who by definition believes in an omnipotent invisible god with magic powers and his demonic foes - upset by people playing a game with fantasy characters like trolls, elves, gods and demons? Maybe his god's demonic foes are strengthened by 100 points when a 14 year old kills an imaginary orc with the Power of Imagination. I think I'm having brain freeze.
