From the Star:

A few days after unexplained reports of an Indiana connection to a Bigfoot hoax that involved Georgia men and a furry costume stuffed into a freezer, a Delaware County man has been identified as a victim in the scheme.

William W. Lett Jr., who lives in the Eaton area, filed a police complaint in Clayton County, Ga., on Thursday, alleging two men hoodwinked him out of a $50,000 bounty for a Bigfoot body, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Efforts by The Muncie Star to reach Lett on Friday were unsuccessful, but according to the Journal Constitution story, Lett complained that two men -- not specifically identified as Bigfoot hoaxers Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer in the police report -- took $50,000 and refused to return it after an examination of the alleged remains.

Rats. I'm guessing that means there's one less buyer out there for my genuine bigfoot toenail clippings. Only $179.99 per jar. Seriously. Get them while you can.
