Documenting the continuing self-cannibalization of collegiate debate, wait for the brown eye from Dr. Shanahan at the 0:37 mark:
I'm not going to try to explain the context here, but basically it involves charges of racism and a coach who just lost an important debate round. Fort Hayes University, Dr. Shanahan's employer, is none too plussed. In fairness, the good Dr. Shanahan was merely performatively demonstrating a truth I witnessed in every debate round of my entire collegiate career, though in somewhat too literal a fashion.
