Oh, Indiana. There's a reason why we're considered the hillbillies of the Midwest...
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A man who says he tried to cast demons from a 14-year-old autistic boy from southern Indiana has been convicted on charges that he injured the teen during the exorcism.
...
Uyesugi testified during his trial that he genuinely was trying to help the Bloomington boy and punched him in the face and chest to restrain him during the 2007 ceremony.
The article goes on to say that the boy's grandmother sought out the exorcism. Is it any wonder that some Hoosiers still fall for the whole "Gays are perverts who want to recruit your children!" crap, when they're willing to believe that their autistic relative is really possessed by devils?
*sighs*

Today, Judge Harper sentenced Uyesugi to only 6 months home detention and 2.5 yrs probation (as well as a few other details). What a sad day for how little society values children with autism.
