It's a fascinating conversation that our readers can join. While Indiana lawmakers claim to be our friends, most of the time we're "backdoor buddies." Our money is always welcome, but our community isn't allowed to walk into their office through the front door - instead they try to hide their "friendship" with us when someone else might be looking. State-level progressive groups aren't much better since they never take up the cause of LGBT rights. The NAACP, Planned Parenthood and NOW have all supported the community, but they're national groups who've been told to be gay-friendly.
