National Coming Out Day is this Sunday, October 11 and there are lot's of great events going on over the National Coming Out Day Weekend.
- Saturday October 10 at 11AM is the Indiana AIDS Walk & Ride. I've participated in this event many times. I'm not part of a group this year, but you can find a worthy team to support on the walk website.
The Indiana AIDS Walk & Ride is more than just a walk around the Canal. This year, there is a health fair, a kids area with face painting and clowns, and an after-party that includes the Indy Men's Chorus and the Pride of Indy Marching Band.
- On Sunday October 11 at 1PM is the Indiana Stonewall Democrats 2008 Leadership Awards reception. Congressman Andre Carson and activist Joseph Miller will be honored. Registration is $50. For more info and to register, check out the Evite invitation.
- Also on Sunday at 6:00PM, the Center for Inquiry Indiana will be hosting a discussion on National Coming Out Day and PFLAG with featured speaker Jeff Jones. See the CFI website for more info.
- And don't forget the National Equality March is also on Sunday the 11th in Washington, DC.
